Everyone expected an iPhone 5 but what we got is the iPhone 4S. Turn away if you want something that sleek, slim or wedge shaped. Hopefully you can accept one of the last products introduced within Steve Job’s lifetime, the iPhone 4S is not a new phone but give it a try and it might just impress you.
    iPhone 4s
The spin on of the iPhone 4 comes with a better processor, an improved camera, more storage, and a virtual assistant that’s pretty much there to please and help you. The iPhone 4S of course bumps its older sibling down the like the 3GS taking over the status of the 3G before.

    Hardware

The iPhone 4S looks very familiar. It walks on the same path as the finely crafted iPhone 4 when you hold and touch the iPhone 4S. Compared to the Android handsets, the 4S feels heavy, dense, and small. It tips the scale at 140 grams or 3 grams more than the iPhone 4. Even the most die hard Apple fan will not be able to tell the difference between the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S by just looking at the exterior. There might be a few millimeter shift with some controls but that’s it, and it even makes use of the same antenna setup. The 4S can instantly switch between the exterior antennas to ensure that you do not drop your on going call.

The insides get some tweaks as well. The brains of the iPhone 4S is now an A5 processor which is a dual-core chip that you can also find in the iPad 2 but the phone version runs at 800 MHz. The RAM is still 512 MB but the storage doubles to 64 GB. The iPhone 4S is also quadband HSDPA/ UMTS/ HSUPA, quadband EDGE/GSM, and dual band which basically means that you will have no problem using 3G data in any network across the globe.

The display is still the 3.5 inch Retina display with 960 x640 resolution that is still among the best in the best market today

    Software

The iPhone 4S introduces the new operating device of the Apple mobile world. The big thing about the iPhone 4S is the Siri which will serve your as your virtual assistant. Siri can do a lot for you from sending emails, text messages, looking for information on the web, getting directions, and a lot more. Just talk to her and Siri will interact with you.

    Conclusion

When you get hold of the iPhone 4S, ask Siri, “ What is the best phone today? “, and wait for her answer.

toshiba_portege_g810_i00The Portege G810 by Toshiba is gaining some serious attention. Thus far, it seems that reviewers and users love its colorful menus and its large touch screen. They also love the fact that Windows Mobile is hiding beneath all of those features.

Of course, there is always a bit of bad news. One piece of bad news, in this case, is that it is unlikely that the Toshiba Portege G810 will be seen in the United States any time soon.

This is unfortunate, because by all accounts Toshiba has gone a long way towards making sure Windows Mobile will adapt to the users of the phone. This was no doubt a feat, since Windows Mobile 6 is not known for being the best interface in terms of being touch friendly.

    acer-m900_02

Let’s talk about Acer.  Personally, I am not a huge fan of this brand and while that is just me … I just have a thing about their laptops and their overall look but what I can tell you is that they came out with the newest phone on the market today, the Acer M900 and while I do not specifically agree with Acer coming out with a Smartphone, I think that for those of you that do like the Acer brand, you should absolutely take a look at this phone.

This phone is pretty cool and it actually features finger recognition, which is pretty freakin’ cool.  The entire 3.8 inch screen is a touchscreen and it has a QWERTY keyboard and to be completely honest, it really is not a bad phone – it’s just not I phone that I would pick out.

So if you like the Acer brand, you should pick yourself up or at least check this phone out!

You must have heard, at one time or the other, about someone boasting about his or her latest smartphone. On close inspection you found out that it was just another mobile. It seems that you have not checked out the mobile thoroughly. If you had done so, you would have discovered that it has many features that are found in PC’s rather than in phones. A cell phone that has advanced features that are generally found on PC’s rather than on the mobile are termed as smartphones. At the moment, there is no special criterion that determines whether a cell phone is a smartphone.

At times there are phones that have inbuilt operating systems that are found on personal computers and these are termed as smartphones. Then there are cell phones that have advanced capabilities like sending and receiving email along with browsing capabilities that are also recognized as smartphones. However, just browsing abilities does not make a cell phone a smart phone, since most cell phones nowadays have this feature inbuilt, even the low range ones. Quite a number of the modern day cell phones come equipped with many facilities like having an inbuilt spreadsheet and data processing abilities and these cell phones are termed as smartphones. It is the ability of the cell phone, to perform tasks that are beyond the reach of the normal cell phones, which distinguishes them as smartphones.
