g-zone-rock-2Say what you will about Verizon, but they do like to keep it fresh — like with their new … fish finding phone. Uh huh, yep, you read that right.

Just today, the carrier company unveiled their Casio G’zOne Rock, a clam shell handset with six different operating modes — one of which details sea levels as well as tides, so users can simply look to their phones to see if the fish are likely to be biting.

The Rock, as the phone is charmingly known, was made for those users who lead very active lives. Other modes of operation are tailored to climbing and hiking. There is an Earth Compass Mode which uses GPS to locate the distance for forty places around the world. You can count your steps, find the temperature, even calculate how many days there are until the moon is next full or new.

htc-touchThe HTC Touch Pro2 was recently released for popular T-Mobile, as well as Verizon and Sprint. Among its many offerings, it has a 3.2 megapixel camera, as well as what is considered to be a revolutionary dual speaker, dual microphone technology called Straight Talk, idea for conference calling in a number of different settings.

The handset uses Mobile 6.5 from Microsoft Windows, so there are plenty of features which are touted as being business friendly. Indeed, you can both view and edit Office documents, you can read email with PDF attachments, you can follow threaded instant messages and emails from as many as five different accounts, you can create presentations, you can check the stocks, and any number of other things.

As well you should, since the phone costs about two hundred dollars, and only then if you get it with service from one of the three providers mentioned.
